“When you’re here, you’re home…”~Dr. Edgar
Quality Telepractice is an innovative private practice created as a response to the increasing necessity to reach those who are now homebound due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Whether you are not able to leave home, or just prefer the convenience of receiving therapy at home, Quality Telepractice is here for you.
We are a unique service in that we personally choose every team member, who we have known and worked with for years. Dr. Debra Edgar personally oversees initial interviews and treatment sessions.
Dr. Debra Edgar is married to her high school sweetheart, David, and is blessed with two amazing sons. Graduating from the University of Central Florida with her Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction and Masters in Communication Disorders, she has over 25 years’ experience as licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologist, Clinical Supervisor and University Professor. With her Florida Medical License and ASHA Certification, she has extensive experience in a variety of settings including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, private practice, public schools, and outpatient clinic settings. Debra and David worked together and combined his MBA and her Doctorate and SLP License and Certification to create a service that would offer personalized and individualized quality treatment to all – regardless of location.
Dr. Edgar is the author of several research publications, including her most recent 2021 publication in ASHA’s Perspectives Journal: Clinical Study of the Effectiveness of Constant Therapy in the Treatment of Clients with Dementia: Implications for Telepractice. In addition, she is currently in the publication process for her breakthrough book on neurogenic disorders: The Truth About Memory: Renew, Restore, Remember.
Dr. Edgar enjoys serving others by providing hope and practical guidance when treating those with communication disorders. She resides in Florida and enjoys spending time with her family, music and photography. Whether spending time with her children, teaching at the university, mentoring graduate clinicians, encouraging loved ones, or working side-by-side (or remotely!) with those with communication disorders, her goal is that God is glorified in all that she says and does. May His light shine through every action and every word.
As the mode of delivery has changed to remote services, the quality of services remains the same. Our goal is that as you receive services at home, you also truly feel “at home” with Quality Telepractice.
